American Plains Co-op and Land O'Lakes Join Forces to Make Donations to Deserving Recipients
Great Bend, Ks – American Plains Co-op is proud to announce a series of donations in partnership with the Land O'Lakes Foundation to support three very deserving recipients – The Kansas Food Bank, The Oklahoma Regional Food Bank, and Sully’s Foundation.  This collaborative effort demonstrates our shared commitment to making a positive impact in our communities and highlights our core values.

The Land O’Lakes Foundation offers a Member Co-op donation matching program each year for aligned cooperatives. The matching funds provided by Land O'Lakes enhance the impact of our donation and amplify our collective efforts to create meaningful change.

Focusing on our Core Values of Pride (Take Ownership of Ourselves, Our Co-op, and Our Communities) and Integrity (Do the Right Thing), American Plains Co-op has generally steered toward giving to organizations that do one of the following: support the future of our communities, build up ag programs such as 4H and FFA, fight hunger, or fall near and dear to the hearts of our employees. These three organizations fulfill those requirements without fail.

"We are thrilled to announce this series of donations, made possible through our collaboration with Land O'Lakes. Together, we are determined to make a difference in our communities. This shared commitment underscores our belief in the power of collaboration and our dedication to creating lasting impact. We are grateful for the matching funds provided by Land O'Lakes, which enable us to amplify the reach and effectiveness of our donation." – Bryan Moser, Chief Executive Officer, American Plains Co-op.

Both the Kansas Food Bank and the Oklahoma Regional Food Bank donations will be geared toward the Food For Kids programs in counties in which American Plains Co-op has locations. In Kansas these counties include Russell, Barton, & Stafford. The donation may also be used in surrounding counties of Pawnee, Rush, and Rice because of our membership flow into those counties. In Oklahoma these counties include Alfalfa, Garfield, and Major. The Food For Kids programs provide weekend backpacks of food for children who suffer from chronic food insecurity.  As an agriculture-based business, we believe we should do what we can to make sure kids aren’t going hungry in our communities.

Sully’s Foundation Sully's Foundation for Epilepsy Research and Education (SFERE) is an organization dedicated to fundraising and spreading awareness/education for epilepsy. The foundation was created in honor of the late Blake Sullivan whom passed from SUDEP (Sudden Unexpected Death in Epilepsy) in October of 2018. Blake was the son of American Plains Co-op CFO John Sullivan and his wife Annie. The organization provides education opportunities and life-saving alert devices to those impacted by epilepsy.

American Plains Co-op remains steadfast in our dedication to our communities and will continue to actively support a range of programs and organizations through various initiatives and collaborations. We extend our gratitude to Land O'Lakes for their partnership and their commitment to driving positive change alongside us.
